We are proud to announce that on July 9, our CEO, Shirly, was honored with the Minister of National Defense Commendation at the '2025 Drone Industry Merit Award Ceremony' held at COEX, Seoul.
This prestigious commendation is awarded to individuals for their significant contributions to the advancement of the drone industry and the field of advanced defense R&D.
We are particularly proud that this award recognizes the technological excellence of our 'KWM-Ocelot', an AI-based electromagnetic spectrum reconnaissance system. The KWM-Ocelot is built upon our foundational AI-based Decision Support System (DSS), 'KWM (Kill-Web Matching)', showcasing our deep commitment to innovation in defense technology. |

Technology Spotlight: KWM-Ocelot
|
|
|
KWM-Ocelot, the core technology behind our recent Minister of National Defense Commendation for Drone Industry Contributions, is an advanced, AI-based RF signal detection and analysis system. It detects, analyzes, and geolocates enemy communication signals in real-time to provide a clear, visualized picture of the battlespace.
The system was developed to overcome the limitations of conventional, large platform-based RF detection systems, such as poor mobility and restricted detection capabilities.
Its primary objective is to analyze signal data collected by multiple drones to precisely identify the source's location. This critical information is then visualized in real-time at the Ground Control Station (GCS), enabling commanders to make swift, data-driven decisions.
A proprietary solution developed in-house by FUNZIN, KWM-Ocelot's technological prowess was also proven when it won the Grand Prize (Army Chief of Staff Award) at the 4th ROK Army AI Idea Contest. |

The Only SME Honored for a Self-Developed, Self-Funded Project in National Defense R&D
The 'Defense R&D Incentive Program,' hosted by the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA), is a prestigious award established in 1979. In accordance with Article 15 of the Defense Science and Technology Innovation Promotion Act, it is presented annually to outstanding individuals and institutions that have contributed to the field of defense research and development, with the aim of encouraging technological innovation and recognizing exceptional research outcomes.
FUNZIN was awarded a Certificate of Merit based on its achievements in the 'Development of AI-based, Battlefield-Adaptive Decision Support System (DSS) Technology.'
This award is a significant external validation of FUNZIN's technological capabilities and its tangible contributions to defense R&D. The achievement is particularly meaningful as FUNZIN is the sole recipient to be honored for a project funded entirely by its own investment and developed in-house.
Moving forward, FUNZIN will continue to contribute to the advancement of defense AI with its proprietary technology and agile development capabilities. |
