Bringing Sincerity to the Deployment of Advanced Defense Technologies
Shirly, CEO of FUNZIN, has been appointed as a member of the Future Defense Strategy Committee.
The Future Defense Strategy Committee, directly under the President, was established to prepare for a rapidly changing future defense environment by leveraging science and technology, including artificial intelligence, and to successfully promote defense reform aimed at building a strong, science-and-technology-driven military.
The 1st Future Defense Strategy Committee Meeting
Shirly attended the 1st Future Defense Strategy Committee meeting held on the 26th at the Naval Submarine Command in Jinhae, Gyeongnam, where she proposed key directions for defense technologies in the era of AI and unmanned systems.
At the meeting, Shirly emphasized that the practical combat power of AI-based unmanned combat systems is completed on top of a stable network environment. She also highlighted the need to secure tactical communication networks connecting combatants, drones, and command posts, as well as the need to establish an independent โK-Defense World Modelโ optimized for Koreaโs terrain and operational environments.
As part of the committeeโs activities, Shirly also visited the Jinhae Naval Base Command and observed major naval assets, including the Shin Chae-ho submarine, the Marado amphibious assault ship, and Aegis destroyers. On site, she received briefings on the operational status of naval forces and changes in the future operational environment. She also exchanged views with relevant officials on the potential application of Manned-Unmanned Teaming systems, AI-based command and decision support, and the establishment of stable tactical networks.
The future battlefield is rapidly transitioning toward the convergence of AI, robots, drones, autonomous systems, and network-based command and control technologies. Amid this shift, the technological capabilities and real-world operational experience of private-sector companies are becoming an important pillar of defense innovation.
Based on FUNZINโs accumulated experience in defense AI development and training-based operational data, Shirly is expected to provide practical insights from the perspective of private-sector technology through the Future Defense Strategy Committee.
FUNZIN will continue to advance AI-based command and decision support systems and Manned-Unmanned Teaming technologies, contributing to the future defense innovation of the Republic of Korea as we continue moving forward with joy.

AI Command and Decision Support System KWM Successfully Completes Real-Time Training Demonstration
FUNZIN participated in the 2026 Joint Live Fire Exercise and successfully demonstrated the real-time operational capabilities of its AI command and decision support system, KWM (Kill-Web Matching).
Approximately 1,400 personnel from the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps participated in the exercise, along with around 10 companies specializing in manned and unmanned systems, including Hyundai Rotem and Hanwha Aerospace.
Core Role of KWM
KWM is an AI-based command and decision support system that helps commanders make swift and accurate decisions in complex battlefield situations.
During this exercise, KWM performed the following key roles.
- Supporting all-weather Manned-Unmanned Teaming maneuver and counter-maneuver operations through AI-based battlefield visualization
- Supporting AI-based command and control for the optimal operation of surveillance and strike assets
- Providing command decision-making and operational execution information using intelligent AI systems
- Supporting real-time battlefield situation sharing and decision-making based on key scenarios
Successful Demonstration of KWM AI Command and Decision Support on the Defense Network
During the exercise, FUNZIN conducted a real-time integrated demonstration across four major scenario parts, centered on brigade- and battalion-level KWM command posts. In the actual training environment, FUNZIN stably synchronized the flow of each scenario and verified the real-time AI command and decision support operability of KWM on the defense network.
In particular, FUNZIN integrated various unmanned systems and sensor data from domestic defense drone manufacturers with KWM, verifying a Sensor-to-Shooter operational structure in a real-time training environment, where detection information leads directly to situational awareness and decision support at the command post. This demonstrated FUNZIN's technical capabilities as an AI software framework company that connects diverse battlefield sensors and unmanned systems.
FUNZIN also successfully demonstrated the integration of a drone equipped with the AI electromagnetic spectrum reconnaissance system KWM-Ocelot and the unmanned system control system KWM-stA to identify the source of enemy signals. Through this demonstration, FUNZIN confirmed that electromagnetic-spectrum-based target detection, unmanned system control, and AI command and decision support can be connected within a single operational flow.
A Meaningful Achievement in Securing Real-World Data and Operational Experience
This exercise was highly significant in that FUNZIN operated its AI command and decision support system in an actual joint training environment, going beyond a simple technology demonstration.
Based on its experience in validating the AI Advisor concept, FUNZIN once again carried out a stable real-time demonstration during this exercise. In particular, by securing operational logs and field data generated during the actual training process, FUNZIN laid an important foundation for the future advancement of KWM and the strengthening of its real-world applicability.
FUNZIN will continue to advance AI-based command and control technologies and Manned-Unmanned Teaming operational capabilities, presenting defense AI solutions optimized for future battlefield environments. |

FUNZIN Lays the Foundation for Global Defense AI Exports
FUNZIN participated in major defense and public safety exhibitions in Malaysia and Singapore, expanding the global export foundation for its defense AI technologies.
FUNZIN participated in DSA 2026 (Defence Services Asia Exhibition and Conference 2026) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and MTX 2026 (Milipol TechX Summit 2026) in Singapore, laying the groundwork for entering global markets, including Southeast Asia.
DSA 2026 is one of the major defense and homeland security exhibitions in Asia, where military officials, defense companies, and government agencies gather to discuss advanced defense technologies and security solutions. MTX 2026 is an international exhibition focused on technological innovation in public safety, policing, and security, with a strong emphasis on AI- and digital-technology-based safety solutions.
Malaysia DSA 2026
Expanding Touchpoints with the Southeast Asian Defense Market
At DSA 2026, FUNZIN met with local Southeast Asian defense companies and government officials to discuss the applicability and commercialization direction of its defense AI technologies.
In particular, since last year, FUNZIN has signed non-disclosure agreements with companies from four countries, including those in the Middle East and Western Europe, and has been discussing business cooperation. FUNZIN participation in DSA 2026 is meaningful in that it expanded these existing overseas cooperation discussions into the Southeast Asian defense market.
Singapore MTX 2026
First Public Unveiling of the AI-Based Electromagnetic Spectrum Analysis System KWM-Ocelot SDR
At MTX 2026, FUNZIN unveiled its AI-based electromagnetic spectrum analysis system, KWM-Ocelot SDR, for the first time.
Because this product processes wireless signals through software, it enables flexible detection and analysis across diverse environments. It is also attracting attention for its high potential to expand beyond the defense sector into public safety and policing.
EagleEye Enhances Overseas Export Potential
FUNZIN also introduced EagleEye, its AI synthetic data generation platform.
EagleEye has obtained the DQ Mark certification from the Defense Agency for Technology and Quality and has been selected as an offset trade recommended item. In the defense sector, where securing real-world data is often difficult, EagleEye can generate data for AI training, making it a highly promising technology for overseas defense and public safety markets.
Toward Korea's First Defense AI Export Achievement
FUNZIN participation in DSA 2026 and MTX 2026 demonstrates that its defense AI technologies are expanding beyond domestic application into the global market. Centered on KWM-Ocelot and EagleEye, FUNZIN is broadening the overseas commercialization potential of its defense AI technologies. |

Participation in AI EXPO 2026
FUNZIN participated in AI EXPO 2026 and introduced its full-stack defense AI solutions.
At this exhibition, FUNZIN showcased its major technologies, including FAIP-MIND based on the World Foundation Model (WFM), as well as its leading defense AI brand, the KWM series.
In particular, FUNZIN's KWM-stA demonstration booth applying MOSA-based MUM-T C2 and the display of a drone equipped with KWM-Ocelot drew significant attention. On site, visitors from various fields, including military officials, defense companies, investors, and academia, visited the booth and discussed FUNZIN's defense AI technologies and application areas.
During AI EXPO 2026, FUNZIN also won the Korea Artificial Intelligence Association Chairman's Award in the AI Digital Innovation category at the 2nd AI Excellence Awards.
